On February 29, as part of the regional action “Reading Land”, a literary and musical evening “Onge ainalgan Sagi Olenderi” was organized, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the lyricist poet, translator, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Sagi Zhienbaev.
Relatives of the poet Igilik Shynbayuly, an excellent student of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, editor of the republican magazine “Ana”, head of the public foundation “Sholpy” Almagul Sarybaeva took part in the event and shared their memories.
In addition, on the ZOOM platform from Almaty, the poet’s wife Uazipa Zhienbaeva, poet, board member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, laureate of the UNESCO International Prize, veteran of Kazakh television, journalist, public figure, publicist Zhumash Kenebay-Kokbori, expressed their warm wishes.
During the event, librarian Gulbanu Kakenova conducted a bibliographic review of the book exhibition “Syrly saz, zhyrly naz.” A photo-historical slide about the life and work of Saga Zhienbaev is presented.
During the event, members of the “Zhas Kalamger” club, created at the philological faculty of the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, Asel Arturkyzy, Aidana Kayrbek, Karagul Tursynbek, read the poet’s poems “Aliya”, “Boztorgay”, “Mukhtar aga”, “Tulyp”. Also, students of city school-gymnasium No. 9 Indira Kairzhanova, Amina Akmurzaeva read translations of Gennady Serebryakov “Aliya”, Vl. Divakov “I so want my poems...”. Songs by E. Khasangaliev “Ainaldym Elim” and Doskhan Zholzhaksynov to the words of Saga Zhienbaev “Karttarym aman-sau zhurshi” were performed.
Summing up the event, library director Sulushash Khakimova said that the events would continue on the occasion of the poet’s anniversary.
